Review: Too Rich For A Bride
Mona Hodgson has done a terrific job in Too Rich For A Bride. This is one of the best fiction books I have read in a long time! This is the story of Ida Sinclair and her move to the West. Ida goes to join her married sisters in Cripple Creek, Colorado. She heads West with the intention of working in the world of business. Business was still a world for men in this time and even Ida's business school time did not earn her respect in the field. She takes a job with THE business lady in town. Unfortunately her new boss is not respected or looked upon fairly in the town.
Ida gets entangled with two totally opposite men. She came to town with romance as the last thing on her mind, but it is taking up more of her time than her new job! Of course her match making landlady and two sisters are encouraging the relationships. We journey with Ida through those first few months full of mishaps, disagreements, holidays, and new friendships.
Ms. Hodgson does a wonderful job with her character development and the story flows smoothly. The characters become endearing and it's easy to get caught up in the little world of Cripple Creek. You will hold your breath to the end waiting on Ida to find God's path for her. My only complaint is that it all seemed to end too soon!
Look for Too Rich For A Bride and the first book in The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek series- Two Brides Too Many.
I received this book from the Waterbrook Multnomah Blogging for Books program for the purpose of reviewing it. All opinions were my own and not influenced by the publisher or author.
