  1. I noticed in your curriculum you are using Hooked on Phonics PreK and 2nd grade levels.
I used this many years ago with my son. I was thinking about trying this again with my grandson. I just want to know what is your take on how well it works and is it easy to use.

  2. I really like Hooked on Phonics Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade levels (with the DVDS). I am not as impressed with the PreK version and we have had to adapt it quite a bit to make it effective! The others I wholeheartedly recommend though! If he knows his letters pretty well then he will be ready for the Kindergarten version!

  3. I love the pre-K hooked on phonics set. It taught both of my kids how to read, but now that one is in 4th and one in 1st words keep getting harder and they are losing interest. Any suggestions to keep them entertained while learning ?

  4. For boys especially I would suggest some theme activities or hands on things! Maybe take the words and make some fun age appropriate activities. This site http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/ has some great spelling worksheets up to 4th grade! They'd be great to use too!
