Promises for Girls and a Giveaway!

I love anything that reminds my daughter that she is a princess of the King. I want her to know that she is loved, treasured, and cherished by the Creator of the Universe because He planned for her and made her in His image. As we all know, it is so easy for the enemy to convince us that we are alone, unlovable, ugly, not enough, not worthwhile. My prayer is that she can be filled up with confidence in God's love now, that she can treasure those words in her heart, so that later in life she will remember them when the world seems to be crashing down around her.

God's Promises for Girls by Jack Countryman & Amy Parker provides those positive words and much more! Each short section provides a blurb about a promise from God and follows up with 3-4 short verses about the promise. Reminders for your sweet girl about being a good daughter, being sick, and making each day count are certainly valid daily reading! If your angel is pondering a certain issue or facing something tough, the table of contents at the front can point her right to the section she needs. Don't worry if your little one can't read yet, these short sections are perfect for reading aloud! The verses are selected from the International Children's Bible (ICB) which always provides Bible reading that's easy to understand.

Not only will the words and verses catch your girl's attention, the colorful illustrations are sure to bring her joy! I love the imaginative pictures and situations that the main "character" finds herself in. I also love the diversity of the characters. This little book of God's Promises for Girls really is a treasure. In a time when we must so closely monitor the media that surrounds our children, books like these really are like a breath of fresh air into our home! Apple surrounds herself with books. She has a trail of them wherever she goes- in the living room, car, purses, jacket pockets, everywhere- but this little treasure was placed in THE SPOT. The corner of her nightstand right next to her bed.

Would your little girl love to read about all of God's promises to her? Tommy Nelson has a copy of God's Promises for Girls to give to one Carter Chaos reader. Giveaway entries will end at 11:00 am on January 19, 2013. To enter answer follow the Rafflecopter below!
